My husband likes to joke that I run around the house "like a chicken with my head cut off" doing "a lot of nothing." So you can already see that my need for a highly calming tea is a necessity or else I am going to run him crazy!
And, if you're reading this, I am sure that you know what I am talking about and you're seeking a calming tea too!
Well I'm glad you're here because this recipe is OUTSTANDING. The herbs chosen are known to relax the mind as well as posses a delightful taste.
Chamomile is chosen as the base herb for the recipe. Its naturally sweet flavor and calming aroma excites your taste buds immediately. Next I chose lemon balm. It's bright and refreshing flavor balances the chamomile thus creating a mood uplifting taste. Lastly, I put an accent of mugwort. The herbal flavor of mugwort adds a taste of sensuality. Together, this blend has an opulence you'll want to enjoy every night before bed.
So let's get to it.
Ingredients needed to make one 12 oz cup of tea:
Dried Chamomile = 1 tsp (2 pinches)
Dried Lemon balm = 1/2 tsp (1 pinch)
Mugwort = 1/4 tsp (a little smaller than your 1 pinch)
****If you are using your own dried leaves, I suggest a slight crushing of the herbs which will help to release the flavor and its components.***
After you've crushed the herbs, place them into your tea ball, bag, or infuser. Add 8 to 12 ounces of boiled water and allow herbs to steep 7 -10 minutes.
I'd like to know how you feel about the tea. Please share your thoughts and comments.
Blessings,
Wynter Michelle
